Season firewood how long?

Hey folks, I just got a / 2 Cable 1 Red Oak wood delivered (and Split). It was supposed be dried, and while it is green, of course, does not seem to have known. They cut with ease, however, the different parts are heavy and they do not burn and all. I put 4 or 5 pieces that were 1 square each on a hot and really just do not burn. N appear, do not call. Fire was extinguished several times and had to put wood in. Finally burned to nothing, but never captured. They also steam noise. Full-size pieces did even worse. So my question is, what would be my firewood for the winter for use in my house. Is it possible that the wood can quickly get ready for this season? Suggestions? Thank you!

Well, I have no evidence to support this theory, but seems to make sense to me: from the green wood is wood that has not had the opportunity to have its content water evaporates, the best way to make this happen would put him in a warm room with good ventiation to circulate the air. These are the best conditions In which season the wood more quickly.
