Amazon.com 's Kindle DX says it can play MP3 files as background music, "while you read. Could the Kindle be an adequate substitute for an iPod Touch? I do not want to wear a lot of devices around. I can not use the iPod airplanes when I travel.

Um, well you love black and white? Heavy Are you a player? I know the Kindle is a bit cheaper than the IPAD. IPAD can do the same thing start unless it has even more features than the Kindle. If I were you I'd go for 16GB IPAD (wifi only) for only $ 100 more. This definition would replace the iPod touch
